My Role: Visual Designer - iOS App

My Role: Wireframe, Visual Design, Icons, Colors, Style Guide

Designed the UI for the iOS Mobile App, creating a uniform style guide for the start-up. I also designed wireframes, layouts, icons, color palette, etc. Explored current design trends to create a clean, minimalistic style of layouts.

I made the icons for this page and reported tag errors; for example, "NFL: NFL" was showing up as "NFL: nfl" before (and it was redundant). Refined tag colors and discussed issues on with opacities and icon consistency.

Chose secondary tab colors, as any other colors would be distracting. Looking back, I would have played with opacities and worked to maintain visual consistency with tabs and headers, but there was no style guide created at the time.

Initially the concept for this page looked different. I chose this deck style based on app trends of using translucent glass-like cards over a blurred image. The card transition is more elegant and fluid this way, suitable for a large number of cards. I designed the icons and checked for visual consistencies.

I found that the curved scroll worked well. The selected team would appear largest at the center of the screen with bolder text. This is similar to the magnified menu on a Mac. Designed the icons on this page. Did not like the background on this screen, as the solid line acted as a divider. I did not think it was necessary for viewing a specific card, but some people may see it as "underlining" the chosen team.
